Women of the World (WOW) Transition Center’s on-site child care unit will provide a learning program for children 2-5 years of age. Our on-site early childhood care will be led by dedicated and highly trained professional caregivers. Our curriculum is designed to focus on physical and intellectual characteristics for the children while adhering to the preschool state requirements, .

Counseling 24/7

Our Counseling Services team offers a range of services including: crisis intervention, diagnostic assessment, brief individual, group therapy and referral. Referral information is available for individuals needing a consultation about medication, or who would like to see an off-center counselor or psychiatrist. The number of sessions provided to a client will be determined on an individual basis. Counseling Services is a short-term setting and offers referrals for longer term psychotherapy.

Cafeteria

Our on-site Dietary Nutrition Dining Area (DNDA) will provide pleasant eating accommodations for our women and children. Healthy nutrition plays an essential role in maintaining good health. All residents and children will be provided healthy meals three times a day to ensure healthy growth and development.

Security Monitoring Unit

The security of our center is the most important and vital division of the entire vision. Our clients, who are abuse survivors, need a strong foundation of security while trying to transition back into the community. Our 24-hour-a-day monitoring system will ensure the security of our women and children throughout the center’s building, as well as the outside perimeter.

Our team has the knowledge, skill and judgment to provide timely assessment and treatment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. Complete with a nurses’ station and health evaluations, our medical care employees will ensure you receive the best possible care along with peace of mind and comfort.

Chapel

The Chapel will serve as a place of refuge for some and escape for others. It is for those in need of spiritual guidance or enlightenment. All denominations are accepted at WOW, and we encourage all to participate on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Laundry Room & Maintenance

Our laundry room will be equipped with washers and dryers, as well as hanging stations for those who like to hang-dry their clothes. There will be seating provided while you wait on your laundry. Maintenance will also help the center with upkeep, and will fix any problems that may occur throughout the building and in the clients' rooms.

Recreation Room

Our recreation room will be a comfortable place for our clients to relax, watch television and movies and play games! The recreation room will also serve as a study unit and will have times arranged for play and for studying.

The Career Development office was developed to assist our clients with recognizing their full potential through developing self awareness, educational management and lifelong independent career planning skills. This division of WOW will help our clients to obtain the skills necessary to succeed in life and to make positive and productive work/life decisions.

It's time for you to commit to get fit! No matter what your level of fitness, you can set and meet your goals in our friendly, non-intimidating fitness center. The operating hours for the fitness room will be from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. We are into fitness, not fashion - so put on that old pair of sweats, grab your sneakers and join us!
