Meet Our President, CEO, and Founder

Willette Taylor

This is her story

This newsletter is to introduce Ms. Taylor, CEO and President of WOW of the World Transition Center. She grew up in Amherst, New York and became a victim of domestic violence and abuse. The abuse continued for many years at the hands of her siblings and, most frequently, her mother. With no motherly love and support, Ms. Taylor continued to fall prey to domestic violence. Ms. Taylor thought it was over, however, she was sadly mistaken. Domestic violence entered her life once again, and in dealing with an abusive husband she found herself lost with no support line, no family and no direction.

After walking away from her abusive husband, she realized that not only would she be a domestic violence survivor, but she would always continue to be an advocate. She put pen to paper and created a resolution - an opportunity of a lifetime. She created (WOW ) Women of the World Transition Center of WNY Inc., servicing women and children suffering from domestic violence and abuse. The first, and the only largest educational based facility in WNY along with the Buffalo satellite office. The law is something that was created by the minds of men and (WOW) Women of the World Transition Center of Western New York was created by the minds of women.
